Then Ive recently installed a Samsung SSD 850 evo, Just I continue getting messages on the windows action heart in the taskbar that the drive needs repairing and that I should restart the computer to run Chkdsk to repair it. When I take washed this and restarted I still get the aforementioned mistake again.

How tin I solve this?

Note: I dont know if this would brand any divergence but I yet have the old HDD installed in the other slot which has windows on it, Simply the laptop is fix to boot from the SSD.

Okay just tried the South. One thousand.A.R.T test and the condition column on the end says OK all the way down the list. Is that fine so?

When I go to the "Over Provisioning" section on the Samsung Magician software, an error comes up there maxim "Book may be corrupted, Use Chkdsk to prepare the corruption problem so try again"

I'd recommend post-obit these instructions to check for any Windows installation files errors:

one. Kicking into Safe Manner
2. Printing "Windows"
3. Type "cmd" (without speech marks)
4. Right click on "Command Prompt"
5. Select "Run every bit Administrator"
6. Enter "sfc /scannow" (without spoken communication marks) and hitting enter
seven. Permit the scan to complete fully

Permit me know what the scan shows.

Run a S.M.A.R.T. exam and encounter what the results are and don't waste your fourth dimension running CHKDSK on your SSD, it doesn't actually do anything for an SSD and the results are non meaningful.

Okay and so I did that scan and this is what it said "Windows resource protection did non find any integrity violations"

And then I approximate information technology has fixed any issues if at that place was any.

I have encountered another trouble now, Basically the finger impress scanner doesnt seem to piece of work. I take installed the commuter from the acer website for my laptop (they only have the win7 one) but the setup wizard says information technology cannot observe the finger impress device however the finger impress reader is listed in device director every bit installed and says the device is working properly. On my HDD with windows 8.one the finger print reader was working fine. Could you assist me on this or should I first another thread in a different department?

Thanks for your help regarding the SSD :)

Same happened to me, after I deleted a couple of useless partitions and resized my organization partition.
All disk-check utilities report the organisation partition as OK, but withal Samsung Wizard insists that this "Volume may be corrupted" and does non give whatsoever selection for over provisioning

OK. In my case solution was unproblematic:

Unistalled and reinstalled SamsungMagician. Everything then reported OK. Over-provisioning already set successfully
